So you wake up one day, look around, and think, 'Fuck. When did I get a new fandom?'

y'know, I wasn't even going to see the new ST movie. I mean, I probably would've rented it at some point, but I wasn't in a rush. Then drvsilla was all, "Hey, I'm going to see it again," and I was all, "Is it a matinee show?", and she was all, "yup," and I was all, "okay. I got nothin' better to do."

and then it ate my brain.

and then people I adore started falling into it and, well. Here I am.

okay, I just about died over this, and then I pictured Kirk saying it and died even more. and now I want a crew of the Enterprise as popband AU.

ahaha! but who would be who? Clearly Kirk is the frontman, the heartthrob and all that. hmmm...and I think more of a band than a singing group, mostly because Spock would clearly be the keyboardist. and Uhura would play bass, and Scotty on drums. Sulu would be the guitarist. McCoy would be the beleaguered and long-suffering manager, and Chekov would...I dunno. Play the tambourine and get into situations from which the other band members would have to rescue him. and at the end of adventure they would play a song that ties in with the lesson learned.

ahahahah MINDMELD! I was totally picturing this all Josie and the Pussycats style, right down to the cat ears on Chekov. and of course at some point, McCoy has to be all 'KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRK!', and Kirk would shrug and be all, "I am what I am."
