y'know, I wasn't even going to see the new ST movie. I mean, I probably would've rented it at some point, but I wasn't in a rush. Then drvsilla was all, "Hey, I'm going to see it again," and I was all, "Is it a matinee show?", and she was all, "yup," and I was all, "okay. I got nothin' better to do."

and then it ate my brain.

and then people I adore started falling into it and, well. Here I am.

ahaha! but who would be who? Clearly Kirk is the frontman, the heartthrob and all that. hmmm...and I think more of a band than a singing group, mostly because Spock would clearly be the keyboardist. and Uhura would play bass, and Scotty on drums. Sulu would be the guitarist. McCoy would be the beleaguered and long-suffering manager, and Chekov would...I dunno. Play the tambourine and get into situations from which the other band members would have to rescue him. and at the end of adventure they would play a song that ties in with the lesson learned.

No, it's it's the lamecore shit you've never even heard it. It has a chick captain--who is suprisingly awesome! She has mormon fundamentalist hair, so I hated her on sight, but then she started being all awesome and I was like "oh christ, here we go!" The SB one is called Enterprise, I think, but I've never seen it since I hate Star Trek so much before I wouldn't even watch it for SCOT BAKULA which should indicate how lame this new obsession is.

DS9 was...y'know, I don't even remember. What happened was, I was working the night shift at a restaurant, and every night around the time I got home, DS9 would be on, and so I would watch it, usually half-asleep. I don't even remember anything about it except that Principal Snyder and Colm Meaney were on it.

It took me until yesterday to see the film and I never had any real plans to see it. I told myself I'd go because... well... even if it was STAR TREK I'm a big fan of John Cho, Karl Urban, and Simon Pegg. So it'd be worth it just for them.

AND NOW IT WON'T LET GO OF ME.

And to think I made so much fun of my friends years ago when they came to a Hallowe'en party dressed as crew members from The Next Generation.
