As some of you may have seen on tumblr or twitter, last week the basement of my building flooded, which was super-awesome since that's where my room is. Fortunately, I didn't lose much of value - the speakers for my computer were the most expensive to replace, and that was only $40. Over half of my comic books were soaked (Jim Mahfood Generation X Special was unharmed! but not so much for every single issue of Hopeless Savages I own. sigh sigh.), but I managed to dry them out. The pages are warped, and a few covers got fucked up, but they're all still readable. and, yes, I have been re-reading them and am all 'MUST HAVE ALL THE COMICS' now.
Along those lines, somehow I missed that Peter David has made canon what everyone who has ever read an issue of X-Force already knew: Rictor and Shatterstar are totally head-over-heels for one another. like. for real. and Rob Liefeld had a hissy fit over it? EVEN BETTER. brb buying all the back issues of X-Factor that I have missed.
