ARRRRRGH. The hard drive on my desktop is farked. I spent most of yesterday trying to figure out what's wrong, but was unsuccessful. There's one more thing I'm going to try tonight when I get home, but if that doesn't work, then I'll need a new one. pthhbbbt.

But, in doing all that work yesterday, I discovered Puppy Linux, and I am SO tempted to make that my official OS of choice. Look at it! The logo is a PUPPY! and it's amazingly fast and light and easy to work with. Sadly, since I'm so reliant on Adobe products, I doubt I'll ever do it (yes, I know about Wine, but its stability with Adobe products is still questionable. Maybe in the future!)

Also, does anyone have recs for TV shows? I'm looking for some summer watching. Have been thinking about It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia since it seems to be my sort of humor, but wanted to see if there was anything else out there.

Wine is such shite. I trust it about as far as I can throw it. I'm with you; I hate to be so reliant on Windows seeing as how I abhor it, but Linux barely has ported software. *sigh* Puppy is good actually. Have you ever tried Xubuntu or Fluxbox?

nah, I haven't actually used Linux in...er. a very long time.

My favorite shows right now that I'm not sure I've seen you talk about before (therefor maybe you don't already watch!) are Leverage, Psych, Chuck, and Burn Notice. They are all filled with AWESOME.

oooh, I was considering Burn Notice for the Bruce Campbell goodness. How many seasons are there so far?

I thiiiiiink season 3 comes out on dvd in early June, so it's probably over by now. They're short seasons, like Leverage. It is a totally badass show!

For some reason I was convinced that Burn Notice was an anime. *watch how I don't even attempt to Google 'Burn Notice', but just leave you with my ignorant comment, LOLOLOL)

I just finished watching It's Always Sunny and I definitely think you'll enjoy. Everyone is terrible on the show but delightfully so.

I'd also second Burn Notice if you like watching explosions and seeing gratuitous shots of scantily clad women. Plus Bruce Campbell is pretty much completely awesome and adorably sunburned all the time. Psych is one of my favorites but it's very light-heartened (when people aren't being murdered or living through Friday the 13th.

True Blood is my official summer show but the first season is pretty boring and it's pretty campy verging on cheestastic.

I do enjoy delightfully terrible people! see: you. :D

My dad actually is, oddly enough, a big fan of Psych. I've tried watching a couple of episodes, but could never really get into it. Perhaps due to the lack of explosions.

Psych gets waaay better in season 2 and onward. Season 1 is good, but the best eps are in seasons 2 and 3 (have not seen s4 yet!) and you can totally skip to them if you've at least seen the pilot. I watch for the lulz and bromance with that one.

I'm thinking of doing this! I watched probably about 6 or 7 eps of Psych and it was okay but I kept hearing that S2 and S3 was waaaaay better. If you think it's ok to just skip the rest of S1?

Shawn and Gus are just socute homg.

Not sure exactly what shows you watch aside from SPN, but I highly recommend Always Sunny, it's one of my favorites. Others that I like are How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, CSI NY and Vegas the Miami one isn't horrible but I like the other two better. That's all I can think of at the moment and I'm not sure if you already watch some of those.

The episodes I've seen of Big Bang Theory and HIMYM I've liked, but I don't think I'm ready to commit to full-season shows. I have issues, I know.

Leverage and Psych are great summer shows! I hear White Collar is, too.

I just started Always Sunny and I'm loooooving it so far XD

Ooh, and I wouldn't call it summer viewing, Skins is amazing, especially series 1-2 :D

Thirding Burn Notice. Things go 'splody. Bruce Campbell. Epic win.

You might like Leverage. It's a Robin Hood-ish heist show. Parker and Hardison are the stars of the show, IMHO.

White Collar is very pretty and best watched through slash-colored goggles. Mozzy is built for paranoia-oriented sillyfic.

True Blood is also pretty and slightly porny. (It's HBO, so. Duh, I guess.) I kinda wanna hit half the characters with cluesticks, though. Fun fact: the blondie in Lady Gaga's Paparazzi video is one of the main characters. Hooray for Sweden!

The United States of Tara is cracked. Multiple personalities as portrayed by Toni Collette.

I can't watch Leverage because Christian Kane's douchetacular face makes me want to punch things.

but Burn Notice is definitely a possibility. (randomly, I'm watching the Swedish feed of a hockey game, and they keep showing ads for Burn Notice. I think it's a sign.)

Has there only been one season? I think I want something with a little more.

Wait, what's that Canadian show you and Ris always talk about?

and I fixed it! I think. Sadly, though, it seemed like a problem with my copy of Photoshop. I'm going to have to find another copy - although that does give me an excuse to upgrade to CS5. *_*

It's kinda been one season? But it seems like two? Right now they're calling it two seasons.

OHHHH BUT YES IT'S CALLED 'MURDOCH MYSTERIES' AND I HOPE YOU CAN FIND IT AND DL IT AND WATCH IT BECAUSE YAY!!!!!! It's into its 3rd season right now! Nearly finished it, I think.

*crosses fingers*

I think it'll definitely be Burn Notice after It's Always Sunny. I can't resist the siren call of Bruce Campbell. Plus, the Swedish channel I've been watching the World Championships on always has ads for it. XD
