it's true.
i read that a representative of the Doyle state @which still has copyright hold over holmes or at least movie interpretation.

was highly displeased on the gay insinutations and says that if it comes to it, he/she will remove permission from richie to do the movie if he or Downey jr. tries to keep that idea in the sequel.

personally, i hope it works. Sherlock was about solving crimes and being calculating and brilliant, if a bit socially inept. he didn't have time nor had interest in "the lesser passions".

and watson said so in a scandal in bohemia. and while some say watson is not a reliable narrator, he is the only one we have. so if we don't believe him then there is no story.

plus WTF is wrong with just having a really good friend? everything has to secretly be "I want to do F** " now?
