I really don't think any of my opinions are all that unpopular, so this will probably be more like, 'my opinions, let me show you them' - which I know is something I never EVER do - but!

Name a fandom, and I'll give you the scoop on at least three of my unpopular opinions related to that fandom.

Supernatural!

1) I don't care about Castiel.

2) I'm still pissed that they got rid of Jo.

3) I'm looking forward to next season being the last.

I wish they would bring Jo back for an episode in s5 (and not kill her off).

Star Trek XI

1) Spock does nothing for me.

2) Kirk and McCoy are, in fact, boyfriends. Even if they don't realize it yet.

3) People who bash Uhura should be strung up and beaten with 2x4s.

1) I mean, I like Spock? I really do? I find him awesome and amusing? But yeah. Zachary Quinto, however--A HO HO HO. HEY BB

2) I love best friends who don't realize they're boyfriends.

3) First, I love Zoe Saldana forever. Second, Uhura is a xenolinguist. If I lived in the ST universe? This is what I would be. That or like, Scotty's apprentice.

What are YOUR opinions on Chekov in fandom, oh Cathy Bites?

Yes, these are my feelings on Spock exactly. I love him in fic being all logical smartass, but please to be keeping his clothes on, okay? okay! Sadly, I feel much the same way about Quinto - I believe he falls under the Lance Bass Rule for me, which states that I will never ever find a gay man (or a man I *STRONGLY* suspect of being gay) hot. Fabulous? Yes. Awesome? Oh, hell yes. Sexually attractive? not so much - which I understand is bizarre because I'm not sexually attracted to about 99.999999% of men, but there you go.

and, hoo boy! Chekov!

1) OMG HE IS NOT AN INFANT. I admit, I do like a sexually inexperienced Chekov in fic, but people do realize he's 17 and not 12, right?

2) STOP WITH THE DAMN ACCENT. There is nothing - NOTHING - that makes me back out of a fic faster than seeing a 'wery'. I don't care who wrote it, I'm not reading it.

3) Boy seriously needs to top some more in fic.

Yeah, ZQ. I'm right with you on the gay thing. That boy is fabulous (and to me, v. sexy). But yeah--if I had to choose between Karl Urban or Chris Pine or ZQ...it'd be easy to drop it down to just Karl Urban and Chris Pine.

1) He really ISN'T an infant. I resent this mostly because fuck, I'm eighteen. (Then again, I'm a totally hypocrite because I've written him with the sexual-capacity of a tween before. -_-; )Similarly though, I don't like the whole "Chekov is a Sex God/Slut" thing either. Anton Yelchin, maybe. Chekov, hah.

2) Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, it kind of kills everything. But for whatever reason writing out Scotty's (to a certain point) doesn't bother me at all.

1) Nothing will ever convince me that RayK and Fraser are not canonically in love with one another and that them sledding off into the sunset wasn't them going on their honeymoon.

2) Ray Vecchio is a great guy, but fugly as hell.

3) People who ship Fraser/RayV just might be clinically insane.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This > everything ♥ ♥ ♥ for I am a one of those few Fraser/RayV OTP 4EVA + EVA fanatics and my vastly unpopular dS opinion is that the Ray K years are enjoyable but are missing the emotional resonance of the first two seasons.

You have my full support in taking this fact as a supporting detail for thesis #3. *g*

Well, at least I'm aware of the irrefutable fact that JC/Justin is a world of 'blech'. Not a total loss here!

(side note: I'm having little SPN kittens over this new gen fic just posted to the Big Bang, because it's a S4 AU with no Castiel and Dean came out of hell for Sammy because he is the bestest brother ever. DEAN. SAM. !!!)

1) Draco Malfoy is a whiny brat who should've been dropped from the top of the Astronomy Tower.

This one should qualify as complete, objective FACT. Like, fucking SERIOUSLY people. I never liked the Luke/Loreli pairing on Gilmore Girls (one of MY deranged, unpopular opinions) but this did not make me reasoning-impaired and unable to see that the text included intentional & obvious romantic & sexual tension between the two characters that would clearly result in a romantic subplot in the show.

yes yes! I can understand not being into the pairing, but to say it came out of nowhere is INSANE. but, then again, we are talking about Harry Potter fans.

1) Elijah Wood is really creepy-looking and the thought of him having sex makes my skin crawl.

2) and anyone who thinks he and Dom were actually fucking is insane. (because CLEARLY Dom was in love with Billy)

3) Viggo/Bean or Viggo/Karl is infinitely more believable to me than Viggo/Orli.

Buffy

1) Anya/Xander was the most perfect couple ever in the history of the show.

2) I liked Dawn. A lot.

3) Spike? Not so much. He was okay, but I was never as enamored of him as other people were.
