Their first face-to-face meeting.


Like most adolescent boys, Charlie is terrified of girls and spends most of his time staring at Lola from a safe distance.


Sometimes he does venture closer, but usually ends up just rolling over and showing his belly in surrender right away.


A couple of days later, he gets brave enough to bat at her, the cat equivalent of pulling pigtails.


Lola mostly just ignores him.


She really only pays attention when it's feeding time...


...and she can steal his food.


and actually, these pics are a couple of weeks old. They're not cuddlemonkeys with each other yet, but Charlie isn't as freaked out by her anymore and will even, on occasion, lick her face. It's kind of adorable.
