The episode was enjoyable. I go back and forth on whether I liked young!Dean or not. Did like the interaction between wee!Sammy and him. The protective feelings and all, it's all still there, eh? Liked the flashbacks and how they were used. Loved the tragic characters of Milhouse Van Houten and Nelson Muntz. Love love LOVED the Heathers reference. I always approve of Foreigner - it feels like they've been using less music this season. or less known songs, I should say. hmm. Liked Sam's teacher - he was dreamy. I wonder how long before there's fic with him and Sam. I'm kind of afraid of that.

one thing - how does Dean know Dead Poet's Society and not Snow White? oh, show.

I was chatting with a friend during the ep and the entire time we were both all *_* over Sam's teacher. HOORAY FOR AGE-APPROPRIATE CRUSHES FOR DEI!! \o/

ahahahahaha! He was so totally dreamy. Every time he was on the scene, "Don't Stand So Close to Me" played in my head.

Re: the spoilers for next week--I think so! At least, that's what it looked like to me. Also, wasn't "Tush" in the unaired Pilot and then not the aired one? I hope that doesn't bode poorly for future uses of ZZ Top so that your musical wishes might come true.

The have used less music (and I think they have a special arrangement with AC/DC after the band came to the set while they were recording their album in Vancouver) this season because of budget, but I'm hoping the budget strains are being loosened a bit since the dollar is stronger and the show's ratings are better. Of course, the economy is worse, so who can say?

I loved this episode. It was awesome.
