ugh. Is there a program like Windows Character Map for Mac? I tried googling, and all I can find is info on the character palette or Font Book, neither of which helps me, from what I can tell. I need something that will show me all the characters in a font and then let me copy the one I need, or at least show me what the character is - I'm working with a dingbat set, so I can't just say, 'oh, I need an A with an accent' and type it out. I need to know what the character key is! arrgh, so frustrating. stupid macs. >:(

God, there used to be something like that in one of the old Mac OSs. Surely, there's got to be something similar now...

Here's the most applicable thing I've found so far: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1518

I assume you're using some other dingbat set though?

Thanks, but, yeah, I'm using a different set. SIGH. I worked my way around it, though.

Try Edit --> Special Characters. I don't know what program you're in, but that works in most programs.

Photoshop, and it doesn't seem to have that option. Of course, I eventually found the character, but for whatever reason, Photoshop isn't recognizing it, even though all the other Adobe programs are. SIGH. I thought the digital age was supposed to make things easier.
