SUPERNATURAL COMIC BOOK OMGSQUEE!!!

oh, I want this now now NOW. *grabbyhands*

In other joyous news, my dad called me to tell me that he flipped off members of the Westboro Baptist Church who apparently showed up in York to protest at some of the area churches. He sounded so gleeful about doing it, too. heh. I *heart* my dad.

and, y'know, I totally forgot to include the one question on the feedback poll that started me thinking about feedback and such. D'OH.

anyways, a couple of the five things requests. the 'easier' ones because I've been a righteous slacker all day. Although I did make progress on what will be GREATEST MOODTHEME EVER. or, at least I think it will be.

for [livejournal.com profile] drvsilla: your five fave tom songs (I'm assuming Waits and not, like, Jones...although I could do a list for him, too. :P)

1) "Anywhere I Lay My Head" - I want this played at my funeral. There's so much emotion in his voice when he sings, and then it kicks it up all lively at the end and, just. LOVE.
2) "Tom Traubert's Blues" - It's such a painfully beautiful song. I wish I was still choreographing because I think it'd be perfect for a lyrical piece.
3) "Shiver Me Timbers" - This song makes me all restless and wistful.
4) "Hoist That Rag" - I love love LOVE the rhythm and beat of this song. There's such a savage beauty to it.
5) "Ol' 55" - I just want to curl up with this song, wrap it around me and watch the sun come up over the ocean.

for [livejournal.com profile] cosmic: 5 reasons why you are awesome.

1) ROLLER DERBY. HELLO?
2) I am completely shameless when it comes to karaoke. I will sing just about anything. ANYTHING.
3) I'm ridiculously loyal and forgiving when it comes to my friends. Which kind of sucks sometimes for me, but oh well.
4) uh...I can eat a crazy amount of food. I mean, have you ever seen me take on an all-you-can-eat buffet?
5) I'm a pimp. I don't mean in the badass, Ice-T way, but in the way that when I get really excited about something, I tend to drag a good number of people along with me (see: my f'list and SPN last year).

for [livejournal.com profile] xingou: 5 favorite breakfast foods. omg, this made me so HUNGRY.

1) Waffles! Homemade are best, natch, but I even like the frozen Eggo kind. My favorite thing about waffles are the little wells because I like to fill them up with butter and syrup. mmm...
2) Sausage! But only links; I care not for the patties. and you *have* to have syrup on hand to dip the sausages.
3) Bacon! I like it best with a crisp edge, but with the fatty part still kind of soft. This also needs to be eaten with syrup.
4) Omelets! Also to be eaten with syrup...I KID! My favorite omelet is with sausage, red onion, and provolone cheese. *drools*
5) Cereal! Favorites are Frosted Mini-Wheats, Cheerios, and Wheaties. I'm not a fan of super-sugary cereals (which I'm sure comes as a shock to most of you). This is what I usually have for breakfast.

for [livejournal.com profile] schneestern: 5 icons you wish existed

1) There are a lot of manipped ones out there of Sam and Dean kissing, or even of blowing one another, but I think there definitely needs to be one of them rimming. yes? YES.
2) Lamely enough, I'd love to see more people make icons out of my art. Because I'm an attention whore that way.
3) um...I don't know. Maybe more icons of...unicorns?
4) ah...I wish there were icons of Jared and Jensen dancing. Of course, in order for that to be possible, there would need to be *footage* of them dancing. So, obviously, they should get on that.
5) I...have no idea what else. :\

I still have no idea how I feel about the film version of Bridge to Terabithia. It just...I don't know.

Robert Goulet!!! I love this commercial.

Even though you're not badass and Ice-T-y, your pimping skillz totally rock!

Also, if we combine your shameless karaokeing and my "has never sung karaoke but will most likely have lots of shame" ways, we could end up with, like, a normal person? yes/no?

All-American pimp, yo. Part of me is very glad to not be very Ice-T-y because that would mean I would have to sleep with someone like Coco and...well. no.

But who wants to be normal? pthbbbbt! and there is no shame in karaoke!

There was shame in that one dude singing that Whitney Houston song in the lounge last time, but he was a freak of nature.

Ahhh, great tracks, all. :D I like your reasons, too -- and also liked that as I read thru them, snippets of melodies and lyrics spun through my head.

♥Thanks. :)

I would imagine! I'm not sure I could limit myself to five.

I'm totally digging on Orphans, of late.

GAH. I'm loving Orphans so hardcore right now. I think I'm going to have to do some new rec posts so I can include that album.

Good for your dad. (Also...Your parents live in York? Wherabouts? My best friend lives in Mt Wolf. I live in Lancaster. I may need to relocate to York soon, too.)

From: [identity profile] cathybites.livejournal.com
Yeah, they live in Brogue, which is about ten minutes south of Red Lion. That's pretty much where I grew up.

I may need to relocate to York soon, too.

Ha! When I was still living in York, I really wanted to move to Lancaster because that's where all the 'cool' places were.

Well, I applied for a job in Hunt Valley, so York is a much shorter drive if I get it.

Hee to the age-old York vs Lancaster debate...makes me laugh.

Darlink. Phil Hester did the Kevin Smith run of Green Arrow, of which I know someone in your family owns part of because I witnessed the purchase. I think Mags, but I'm not sure.

5) I...have no idea what else. :\
When I read that my very first thought was: "There needs to be an icon with Jared and Jensen dressed as bananas." *blinks*
Is "I'm tired" an excuse for that insane thought?

2) gah! I was so hungry making the list and I had NONE of that food. so sad.

3) It doesn't seem like the book AT ALL. It confuses me every time I see a commercial for it. :(

DUDE! I want that comic and I want it RIGHT NOW. ::grabby hands::

Why would a church be protesting other churches? Thats why I am not 'religious' anymore. ::headesk::

You'll have to learn me about this Tom Waits, for I am an uncultured boob and can't tell if I know him or his music off the top of my head. And of course, I am at work right now so I can't just dl a couple songs and see if they sound familiar. Woe.

I will sing just about anything. Except Korean. :P (Not that I am at all perturbed by that, mind you. English for me, please.)

(see: my f'list and SPN last year) See, you even KNOW that its totally all your fault.

Wheaties FTW.

If only I was home and had access to Photoshop right now.

Why would a church be protesting other churches?

Because the WBC is probably one of the most hateful groups of people ever. They're the ones who run godhatesfags.com. I can't believe they have the audacity to call themselves Christian.

and that seals it: I definitely have to do another pimp post for him. :D

There is a special hell for people like that. And it won't be the fun kind like the special hell we shippers are going to. Oh no. It'll be a really bad one. Like Meg went to.

Pimp Tom? ::waits::
