okay, here's the thing: if I tell you guys, then they're not *secrets* anymore. so, this is more like 'Ten Bits of Trivia About Cathy.'
1) According to my parents, my first word was, 'No!', said when my grandfather tried to take a toy of mine.
2) Once, when I was 7, I found a dead mouse in my neighbor's driveway. I'm still not sure why, but I picked it up and stuck it in a lovely leather purse my mom had bought for me - my first big girl purse. A few weeks later, I ended up throwing the purse away for obvious reasons.
3) Same age: both of my parents worked, so my sister and I were home alone a lot. Once, while we had two friends over, I was convinced that someone was trying to break into our house. Instead of doing a sensible thing like calling someone, I took everyone upstairs, drew a silhouette of a man on a piece of cardboard, and declared that we all needed to learn how to throw knives in order to protect ourselves.
4) I'm terrified of heights. Driving across bridges freaks me out and I *have* to be on the innermost lane. If I can see how far up I am from the ground/water, I want to vomit.
5) But I love roller coasters and Viking ships and Zippers and any sort of crazy ass aerial amusement park rides even though I spend the entire time thinking about all of the ways I can die on the ride. Sometimes I like to be terrified.
6) When I was 16, I was absolutely convinced that I was the Antichrist. That lasted for a few months until I realized how crazy that was...and that I was actually the Second Coming.
7) I also used to suffer from auditory and visual hallucinations.
8) I lost my virginity when I was 16 to a guy who was 7 years older than me.
9) I was a Girl Scout for 11 years.
10) I was in love twice, and both times had my heart broken.
