In case you haven't heard, LJ is going to delete and purge inactive accounts. I've gone through and bumped all of the comms that I maintain, and I'll go through comms I'm a member of later on and see what's going on with them. I don't even remember all of the scattered journals I've collected over the years, but they're supposed to send notifications before the journals are gone forever, so hopefully I get them.

As I was going through all the old stuff, I realized that I've been on LJ for over nine years. Some of you I've known even longer than that. That's *insane* to me (but in a good way). I also realized that I've lost touch with a lot of people. Some of them are just a result of going separate ways, but there were more than a few people who just completely disappeared. I know people move on to other things, but it still makes me a little sad. :(

eta: LJ has updated that post with news that journals with more than one post will not be purged. PHEW.

I think they said that if the journal has one post, but has left comments, then it won't be deleted (though I don't know if the comments have to be on that journal, or elsewhere): http://news.livejournal.com/127507.html?thread=85285395

Does that mean that comms with lots of old entries but no new ones won't get deleted?
